The Fine Art of Wool Felting with Textile Artist Solmaz Shams

With a B.A. Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Artist Solmaz Shams draws on her extensive creative background and will be sharing her unique techniques of Wool Felting.
Wool Felting is a textile art form creating a dense fabric and 3D design details incorporated into fashion designs. Solmaz will share techniques and share her inspiration for her beautiful clothing that she makes using the Wool Felting technique.

Founded in 1998 The Artists’ Studio of Palos Verdes (TAS) is a professional artist co-operative affiliated with Palos Verdes Art Center (PVAC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community arts organization.
About
Our goal is to support, promote and develop the creative potential of our artists through the sale of their artwork, and to provide marketing opportunities for our members and PVAC through events and exhibitions.
In 2020 we launched the TAS Online Gallery to showcase the original artwork of our members. In 2021 the TAS Gallery and Gift Shop re-opened at the Palos Verdes Art Center. Both galleries feature one-of-a-kind paintings, jewelry, clothing, sculptures, pottery and art photography all created by our local TAS artists.
